Ontario Northland their brass bells out for "E-Bells" de to the fact that the air lines on the brass bells would freeze inthe winter time rendering the bell useless and causing a safety issue. I was standing where the CN Alderdale/Newmarket Subdivision crossed at a diamond (now removed) with the ONR Temagami subdivision. It can be accessed via John Street in North Bay Ontario.
