Glad they did more than leave it all black with just the side lettering - adding the red and logos definitely helps! Pretty cool now!

Cool engine. You mentioned that they kept the Alaska specific details and the front steps are still "Alaska specific". Anyone know why the steps are designed like that?

I believe the steps had to be done that way to accommodate the larger than standard snowplow on the pilot.

Yes, to reduce the area that could build up snow...the steps were designed to be "self clearing." You can see that they are more ladders than steps. The anti-climber was extended out and a large plow was designed to throw snow to the sides and not up onto the nose and windshield.
