CN 546 is the Oshawa turn, originating in the yard just west of the GM plant there at about 9.30 PM every night. It runs west to service industries along the Kingston sub in Ajax, Pickering and the eastern suburbs of Toronto, and also runs up the Uxbridge sub (as depicted in the image) via Scarborough Junction about once or twice a week. The locomotive set used is usually the day switcher at Oshawa, in this case a GP9M and and a standard-cab GP38.

Interesting information. I was aware this job came from Oshawa, but nothing more than that. From what the crew told me, 546 works the GECO early Thursday mornings, and sometimes a relief job runs early Sunday morning as well. Quite the variety of operations it has to do.
