Fantastic photo Dennis - I still can't get over the fact that a "Century Green" E8(A) is "alive and well" in 2015. Who would have ever thought that this unique paint scheme (only used on one A-B-A set of E's for NYC if I'm not mistaken) would be "resurrected" once again? I'm glad the URHS was inspired to do it right. As for the situation being played out in this photo - that would be me in the shoes of the Trainman - with the same outcome too. The attractive young lady looking out and smiling at me and then suddenly gone in the blink of an eye and the flash of a "Highball green"! **Sigh - just call me "Charlie Brown", that's the way my life has always been.

Ah, yes Dana we have all been there. But then you got the girl's wave, the bittersweet memory and you got to railroad. What's more important then that?

Beautiful job capturing the scene, Dennis! Perhaps the best capture of the night. Bonus points for being in the right spot to capture Mallory's wave so perfectly along with the railroader holding the lantern.

Dana (aka; Charlie Brown), I enjoyed your response both for the humor and notation regarding the scarcity of NYC E's painted in "Century Green".
