I would love to spend a day in the Thurmond, WV area. So much to see before it's all torn down. It'll be a day trip for me. Have to research on what all's around Thurmon and make the trip.

I don't know, it looks a lot like a model railroad to me. Lichen or foam covered hills, big structures along the wall/hill backdrop. :)

Just found this pic. If you look on the right side of the bridge you will see the reason for the weight limit painted on the cross beam.

Spending a chilly morning looking at old pics, and this one came up. My question is, why did they go to the trouble of redoing the signal in the first place? Seems to me their would maybe be 7 hard core NW fans that would have made an issue of it being a cantilever instead of a bridge. I'm impressed they went to that much trouble to fix a minor detail.
