I couldn't agree more. Losing the Lehigh Valley's variety and occasionally classy look or Reading and Erie Lackawanna's classic looks for this was not easy to accept.

These were called "13 D" units at the time (drab, dreary, depressing, dull, etc.). The variety was endless, though, since many units didn't get full repaints.
