Actually this is a D49/1 class, popularly known as the "Shire Class", having being built Walschart's valve gear, the very similar D49/2 'Hunt class" locomotives being built with Lentz poppet valve gear via a rotary drive. The D49/1 class were given names of British counties, whilst the D49/2 class were given names from British (fox) hunts.
