Do you know if they have fixed the trestle down the line that was damaged due to flooding and stopped operations on the Central Montana railway?

Yes. Currently under repair. Might even be done by now. Check it out on Google Earth.

Yes the Judith River Trestle has been repaired and is operational. I have pictures that I'm submitting but were rejected, I'm working on that now.

An impressive structure.

There are many wood trestles left. But, only a few are still used today. It would be a shame to let such remarkable structures rot away. Many are well over 100 years old. I marveled at the simple construction that supported many consists weighing several tons for many years. Many were put together on a whim. It will be a shame to save steam locomotives, but not the rails and trestles they travelled. Every rail fan owes it to themselves to examine one close-up.

One historical note on this bridge. It was built and owned by GN as part of their Lewiston MT branchline, with Milwaukee Road having trackage rights across for their Great Falls secondary main. NP never ran on this line.
