What more can I say ??? I could spend hours/days here just wandering around looking, sitting, dreaming.

This place known as Larry's Truck & Electric (LTEX) is the place to go to see old and obsolete models.

As a kid, I used to run around and play in the scrap yard my father operated. This would've been AWESOME!

1484 looks like an old CB&Q unit with the indentation for the mars light in its nose

1484 was marked as BNSF on the side and it had Southern underneath that, so I am assuming it was originally a Southern unit bought by BNSF and patched.

I believe BN 1484 was originally a Frisco unit. (Built in 1977) the only ones that purchased The GP15-1's. The 1484 went though the Santa fe, BN, BNSF Transitions.

I don't think any GP15-1s were delivered to the CB&Q, which disappeared in 1970! Note the "creative" re-lettering of the BNSF SD38 as a "GN" unit. Hey, the colors were right...LOL
