Nip it NS! Stick to your heritage! Now you're getting cheesy! This actually offends me. What's next? NS painted ambulances and police cars? Give it a break NS! Absolute overkill! Our Nation's police, fire and EMS earned their keep way before 911, and we all know it. Knock it off NS! Stick to heritage. You guys nailed it there, but you don't seem to be able to know when to stop. God Bless America and the men and women who serve US!

KD, Great photo! Mike, put down that cold beverage or whatever you have been smoking and stop and think about things for a minute. NS painted this unit to honor First Responders; hence the road number 9-1-1, the number folks call when needing first responders. This engine is not about 9/11/2001. You should be happy that a large company like Norfolk Southern cares enough to honor veterans and first responders with a unique engine such as these. A classy engine owned by a first class Class 1 railroad! Thank you NS!

Hey Mike, did you know that the national number for emergency services is 9-1-1? One would assume thats behind the numbering, not 9/11/01.
