A very nice, nostalgic image! Being a life-long N&W fan with half my family in Roanoke, I don't think that I have ever seen equipment in this color before. A great catch. I guess the stainless on the adjacent track would probably be Southern up from Bristol?

John, That dark-blue window stripe on the stainless-clad car would lead me to think it is a N&W car acquired in the Wabash merger, rather than Southern.
