Not just "a former GN SD45" but the first SD45 manufactured. It is "owned by the Great Northern Railway Historical Society and is on indefinite custodial loan to the Minnesota Transportation Museum." The MTM in turn operates the Osceola & St. Croix Valley Rwy, on whose rails this photo was taken. The engine was featured at the 2009 NRHS convention in Duluth, and headed an excursion (which I took) to Grand Rapids, Minn. and back.
