Are my looks deceived? Does this Caboose have an End of Rail Device?, or FRED? Isn't that what the reflector is above the rear coupler? Other than that, Great Pic.

Not surprising in today's railroading. I expect a conductor would be on the engine and use of the caboose would be for crew handling fire equipment.
