I still remember the headline when the first photos of that paint scheme appeared in magazines - "From red ink red to bankrupt blue goes "The Rock." Though the "Rock" scheme is striking, I could never fathom why any railroad would paint any part of its locomotives, particularly the pilot, white. You just know it's going to end up looking horrid.
