Great photo with an even better story. Thanks for sharing.

Wow!! A very interesting factoid! Being a GCT fan who has read books on the terminal, I am surprised that none of them mention this. Very cool!! Thanks for sharing!

I could make several pilgrimages to this location but never catch it any better then you have here. Looks to be the prefect time of day and year to catch it. Wild shot and interesting history. Did you happen to catch the location where the NYC tested the durability of their Hudsons?

Unusual and a nice history lesson!

Wow, great story. It's cool that history lives on with relicts like these and the knowledge of people like you.

This is very cool. Nice find, Dennis!

Very cool, Dennis. I might have to go looking for this.

Great story, great pictures and , even with a fancy camera, you made it out of the park!

Your photo and history lesson just blew my mind.

Dennis, I'll never know how you FOUND these relics, much less figured out how they got there. Congrats on a very unique RP To24!

This practice had been used everywhere large stone structures were built as far back in time as the ancient Chinese, Greek, Egyptian and Roman empires.

Intersting find lost by time and found by a rail buff to have it awakened again. Thanks for the history lesson!

Historically interesting and creative. It's a pleasure to see something new and atypical. Thanks for this!

Wonderful picture. Plus, the excellent and thorough historical backdrop is a bonus. Nice work.
