I'm sure that this unit couldn't have been re-purposed, but it is still sad to know that another old loco is being sent to the torch & recycling. I wish I had a part of this old unit, even just a builder plate/sticker to remember her by.

Why would they go through the trouble of giving her a fresh coast of paint only to scrap her a couple years later?
