That's one Class Act NS! Our 1st Responders don't get enough recognition for putting their lives on the line for us day in and day out!

Once again, you set an example for all to follow :-)

Another very colourful Norfolk Southern loco, And thank goodness we have those 'First Responders' Although over here (England) the First Responders are a little different, (Well I think they are!) usually trained up volunteers, either on motor cycles of fast cars in country areas who can arrive on site and give vital medical assistance whilst awaiting the Ambulance(s) to arrive! PCA vote from me!

Looks like the Burlington heritage unit, er - wait, that's not part of, oh never mind! Nice homage to first responders!

That locomotive is a BEAUT! The tribute is OUTSTANDING! NS is TOPS!

I must say I am a little emotional seeing this. To think 8 months ago I came up with this dream of a train to honor our local First Responders and sent it to the CEO of NS himself. I was shocked when I heard back from NS today to find out I was part of the inspiration behind this beautiful unit. Cant wait to see this thing in person.

Wow...That's all I can say. With my dad putting 25+ years of his life into being a firefighter and dispatcher, I thank you. You do not know how much this means to us.

As always NS leads the pack keep doing your part shows how much you care for other people first the vets and now the first responders and its not cheap to paint and decal a engine but they do it AGAIN THANKS FOR CARRING

I like the "Burlington" look of the nose.

Once again NS demonstrates how much more forward thinking they are. Simply stunning, and a thank you to Shawn for having the idea, and to whomever at NS was involved with making an idea a reality. The Heritage fleet makes NS a "Class Act" but these several dedicated paint schemes to specifically honor groups of workers that deserve our praise and thanks, puts NS in a category all by itself. Another very nice photo by the way.

A very appropriate tribute. So..... I guess it has priority over other trains? Do they have to take a siding to get out of the way when 911 is occupying their block?

This really makes me proud to be an NS employee for the past 33 years! The Heritage units are wonderful, but this and the Veterans' unit are extra special and will, I believe, appeal to more than just the railfan community. My sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone involved at NS for honoring our first responders. They are very special people who do not get enough recognition for what they do!

Wow… Double wow! Thanks NS. As a Firefighter and Paramedic for too many years, I really appreciate this. It looks great and it really does mean something to me. Thanks!

The only thing this unit is missing...LIGHT BARS, and Spotlights on the cab! That would look real nice with a set of Emergency Light Bars on the cab and rear of the long hood. Come on NS - put some LIGHTS on this beauty!!

Thank you guys for the support and kind words. Glad to see so many people love it. Also big thanks to Chase Gunnoe over at Trains Magazine. He was a big part in helping get my story out there which resulted in NS running with a dream I had.
