There is a great place to view the trains along the Lansing River Trail which goes under the bridge near the top of this photo. It runs along the Grand River.

It's neat to see the relics from the age of steam that are still in existence. With what appears to be an old four track line, I'll bet this was a neat place to watch steam locomotives refuel back in the day!

It wasn't a 4 line track main-line. The two gaps on either side of the two tracks are actually old sidings that were taken out a decade or so ago, if my memory serves. Between the founding of Oldsmobile and other industry, and coal, long lines of rail cars were held there for a long time.
