I thought BN had separate Seattle and Portland pig trains, that would basically run one right after the other, as opposed to one train with traffic for both cities, since the Seattle train would take the ex-GN via Wenatchee and the Portland train would take the ex-NP/ex-SP&S via Pasco and the Columbia River gorge. Either/or might carry the Spokane traffic, since both passed through there, but I doubt they would stop both of them for that.

Coming from Kansas City, Texas and/or Denver it is questionable whether they ran separate sections. I know that business on the high line grew to where they ran a No. 3 and 23 (Portland). The southern route I don't believe developed to that extent although it might have for awhile. In BNSF era they basically gave up this traffic and currently run no regular intermodals. They do have an occasional stack train, one to two times a week.
