This locomotive was rebuilt sometime around 1988 or '89 when CSX had over 400 locomotives either being rebuilt or new, like the 10 SD60 order & the GP30/35 slug GP40 mother units & a bunch of SD40-2's.
The mistake was believing that the Chessie System people would tolerate this as the final scheme!
