Absolutely stunning image, Howard. The beach, the train, not to mention the lighting....all perfect.

Thank you. The lighting conditions were awful all day with rain threatening. Just before the train arrived at La Selva Beach the skies opened and bathed the shoreline in a crimson light. With the reopening of the Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line I and many other photographer are looking forward to capturing images like this in the future.

Looks like it could use a bit of CW rotation. The low light compliments the IP scheme well....

Spectacular scene and lighting, Howard! I visited the Davenport Branch for the first time earlier this week after spending a couple days at Roaring Camp and was blown away by the scenery. Looks like it's just as dramatic south of Santa Cruz, too. I hope you'll share more scenes from the Chiggen's visit last summer!

An inviting image!! Wonderful locale and light. Interesting back-story, too. Imagine a home with an ocean view AND the railroad...cool!
