If memory serves, wasn't the DD-1 originally intended to be a 4-4-0 electric, but Pensy found out that there were issues with that arrangement, and instead converted it to a double unit by hooking two back to back?

Nice series of Strasburg photos Mitch! With two K-4's still in existence, it's too bad neither one is out running the rails again. Oh well, it's nice to dream. At least I got to see 3750's sister (#1361) before she was disassembled into restoration eternity.
