Has anyone been there recently? Can you still enjoy this view, or is it all "treed in?"
Sadly, I suspect it is. It's amazing to me how those in charge of parks seem to be clueless about managing the vegetation (read: tree cutting) so that the "scenic views" they advertise actually are/remain "views." There's one near Bear Mountain like that. They have a nice little parking area, and it's touted as a "scenic overlook." But the last time I was there, most of the "view" was obscured by the trees that have grown unabated. What's the point of a scenic overlook if you let it get overgrown with vegetation?
