Looks very nice, but it it'll waste away sitting there. Too bad it's not out on the road. Is that an ALCO Berk? Doesn't quite look like a Lima. Thanks for sharing Steve.

While looking for a builder's plate I just realized I had a cat laying on the running board. LOL I looked this locomotive up and per the C&O Historical Society, this is an Alco.

I was bracing for a rusty wreck and I am very pleased to see no rust. I could quibble about no jacketing and the non-authentic silver journal "toenails" but I will not. Yes, indeed No. 2732 is part of the order K-4's 2700-2739 built by ALCO in 1943-44. Boiler pressure 245, Cylinders 26x34, Drivers 69", Grate Area sq. ft. 90, Tractive effort 69,350 lbs, with booster, 85,750 lbs. And final yes to the engine cat on the foot board above the right cylinder.

So it's an Alco. Thanks Steve. And, I should have known better than to call it a Berkshire, since I knew that C&O called them Kanawha's. Also, thanks Dennis for enlightening me about C&O's K's, not to be confused with PRR's K's, which were Pacifics.
