Don't be too hard on yourself ! This is a Great Shot, we all see shots of Trains coming at us, not going away. Your time in the cold was well spent in my opinion!

Looks like you nailed it! Excellent photo. I think the perspective of the train going away from the photographer gives us a different, yet astonishing perspective. Nicely done.
