Really a startling scene. Can't help but notice the broken branches on the sides. Great Photo!

I'll echo the above comments - a very interesting effect with a limited yet appealing mix of colors!

As I've told you several other times, you killed this one. This is just awesome! I personally think we're even for the shot I got of the CN cowl in the snowstorm last year.

Thank y'all very much! I knew the blue and silver would look great against the ice, so luckily Amtrak's schedule participated. I missed shooting a KCS Belle here by a few couple of minutes, but I imagine that would have been quite a contrast!

While cold Winter days aren't exactly my favorite time of year, but Old Man Winter sure does make some fantastic scenery!

A few days ago someone got a fascinating shot of this very line at Seneca, SC, a close up of the rails, about three counties northeast. And here you come with this shot. (I used to live in Flowery Branch, the next town to the south where this train will go through.) Fascinating how through colonial northeast Georgia this railroad, which carries trains between pretty much every big city between New York City and New Orleans, can look like a rustic country road.

Great shot Jordan. Love the heat distortion and the ice on the branches. It all comes together to make a memorable shot.
