If this is the Twin Star Rocket, it would be train #17. #15 was an overnight train.

Kent -- Thanks for the heads-up. This was the overniight train -- it dropped off a sleeper here -- before continuing on to Texas. I'll do a little research and make a correction.

#15 would have been the Kansas City Rocket before the name was dropped. Nice photo

Great shot Bill - love the camera angle. One question to anyone - Why is it that photos of trains running in the 1950's and even into the early 1970's always seem to have the headlight off when they are on the mainline? Weren't they supposed to have the headlight illuminated while running? Or is that a more "recent" FRA rule created in the mid-to-late 70's? I'm curious - as no one has ever explained this to me.
