Chris, I had to read the notes twice before it registered that this was not James J. Hill's Great Northern. Also, it looks to me that USA's Great Northern was never painted quite like this above. It does, however, resemble the Gulf, Mobile & Ohio (GM&O). Thanks for a very fine photo.
