Great photo, Craig. This is the kind of submittal I really like to see on this site where one can see a good picture and then read an informative write-up that teaches us all something about railroading.

In the background you can see one of the new MARC Bombardier cars that are about to enter service. In addition Major differences are larger side doors inward from the corners of the car and no side door by the cabs.

Nice shot, I think 50 years from now there will still be railroads using SW switchers, GP9's and GP38's they may be rebuilt but they seem to be perfect designs that will always fill a need.
