The Capitol Limited has become a much shorter consist than I watch every summer as it passes through Ohiopyle, Pa. I watch the Capitol Limited daily as it heads eastbound through town. During the summer, it has 2-3 locomotives and as many as 14 cars. I've never seen less than 2 locomotives and less than 8 cars. I wonder why the decline in passengers?

The Lounges heve been taken out of service from the Capitol Limited until the end of February for maintenance (http://www.amtrak.com/servlet/ContentServer?c=AM_Alert_C&pagename=am/AM_Alert_C/Alerts_Popup&cid=1251627299715). And the winter months after New Year is generally a soft time for travel.
