OMG this is awasome!!, its still an NDM, so probably involved in an acciden long ago!

I'm going to step out on a limb and hypothesize that there are far more cars from the United States/Canada sitting in Mexico as outbuildings than Mexican cars doing the same within the US/Canada.

Zach, I highly doubt that. I've spent many hours over the past 5 years or so on Google Earth checking out Mexico City and surrounding areas. When using street view as much as possible, all rolling stock that is used for housing or just parked and abandoned is all Mexican railroads, the majority NdeM. I have yet to see a single US or Canadian car used for those purposes.

There are lots of American and Canadian cars in this conditions in Mexico I have seen them in Benjamin Hill just an hour south from Nogales AZ. the most notorious one is a Boston and Maine 40ft. Boxcar, also in San Luis Potosi in central Mexico there are even more.
