Actually, NS doesn't have any current plans to convert its fleet of High-Hood GP38-2's to admiral cabs any time soon. From what I've heard, because they are used mostly for yard or in-consist local work, the RR doesn't want to spend the money yet to upgrade them. I think that it is more likely that they will be rebuilt to GP33ECO's or similar NS rebuilds before having their noses chopped.

Actually it was announced a few days ago that NS was going to start rebuilding these starting now.. From 5000 to 5256
