Now this is railroading the way it was meant to be!

What a phenomenal shot! I love the Chessie System locos with designations of B&O, C&O & WM. Throwing that Seaboard System into the mix is magic. Thanks for taking me back to my youth, Robert. Also, thanks for such an outstanding shot.

Wow - 8 locomotives, 7 Chessie and the "oddball" Seaboard System. Like how the 7 "kitties" are all facing front, and the "puppy" is doing his own thing and "not paying attention". Nice photo Robert, and I so wish I could see "Chessie" on an EMD SD70ACe! That would be worth seeing.

Chessie -there was only one, and she wasn't around nearly long enough.

Oh, miss this thunder of Chessies climbing Chesnut Ridge from Connellsville, Pa to Ohiopyle, Pa alongside the Youghiogheny River. I fished that section of river many times back in the 80's and loved the sound of 4-6 GP's climbing the 2.2% grade hauling long consists up & over Chesnut Ridge & Laurel Mountain. I work in Ohiopyle every summer & they don't sound the same today with mufflers. NOTE: There's several trails in that area offering beautiful views of the rail line. In fact, the original tracks, on opposite side of river, where installed by the B+O RR in the 1800's, is now known as The Allegheny Passage" Google it and see
