This is a very sad situation. The accident could've been avoided if trucks like that were just re-routed around areas with railroad crossings like this. My heart goes out to the crew and their families. Hopefully they both recover fully.

Being a fellow railroader my heart goes out to the crew (As well as their families) to make a full recovery. I couldn't imagine going through that (hopefully never will).

15 years ago wide cabs were not the norm. I can remember doing 70mph on a B36-7 and praying nothing like this would happen to us.

When you watch the video it says a lot to how well the cabs are made now to protect the crews. Prayers are out to the train crew to make a good recovery.
