My father was a locomotive engineer with Ontario Northland (ONR) when these TEE trains went into service. The service originated out of Toronto to North Bay and were manned by CN or VIA crews. Once in North Bay ONR crews would take the train north to Englehart where the head end would change out and the new crew would take the train further north to it's final destination of Timmins, Ontario. The next morning the same cycle would take place but in the southerly direction. The service was two trains a day one going north and the other south.
