I always found it amusing how these GE units have a SD75I on the side

Cool shot, Dave. Does anybody know the significance of the 5616?

Others can correct me but I believe the 5600-series were delivered in 1995 so they became the representative class for the anniversary (not sure if 5616 has any specific relevance or it was the unit the graphics folks had a photo of).

5616 was the first loco delivered after the privatization. The scheme (known to railfans as the "road-kill" scheme) has been applied to a few other locos also, but not to the 5616 itself, probably for no other reason than its paint is still in pretty decent shape!

Thanks for the information guys! I've been curious about it since the decal first applied on the C40's.
