Loaded with Hummers, no less. There are a lot of vestiges of "old" CSX in this picture - The L&N hopper, the Chessie System EMD, the GE C30-7 in one of several of the various CSX paint schemes of the day, all things that made the railroad a lot more interesting in hindsight, but didn't seem like anything special at the time. Great picture!

You are right about that. It was just so much more interesting and varied back then. Railroads have becoming more and more standardized which is a good thing from a business standpoint, but the sameness gets to you after a while.
