As a kid growing up along N&W's Pulaski District, I always got excited when I saw a stop indication on the CPLs thinking that the red signal meant a train was approaching from the opposite direction, never knowing that N&W CPLs remained red even when a block was unoccupied! I spent a great deal of time waiting for trains that never came! Dumb kid.....
