Joe, I enjoyed the shot. I believe I have ridden 1849. Did it come from Ft. Knox. I hope the RJCR guy gets her going. For a unit built in the early 50s they have remarkably few hours on them and were meticulously maintained.

She did in fact come from Ft. Knox and powered BGRM excursions for a time. Somewhere along the line before my time others deemed some issues with her beyond museum resources to repair and sidelined her. The RJCC mechanic thinks their diagnosis were far to harsh and found some incorrectly repaired wiring... Fingers crossed he finds plenty of free time, and only minor needs with her.

I suppose a K&IT paint job would be too much to hope for.
