Kind of homely looking now, but interesting to see it here in Alabama, now that I live down here. I possibly saw this engine a few times when I was growing up in Wisconsin when it would have been with the WC.

It amazing how some of the older railroad equipment that from different railroad company in different parts of the country , appear in the smallest of places.

This WC GP40 in particular was the only WC GP40 to work with the only BNSF Railway D9-44CW #4570 to ever come to little ole Manitowoc, WI on a local from Neenah, WI. The other times the BNSF unit came was with an IC GP40R a few times, a WC SD40-3 a few as well and even once with a GTW SD40-3. When the WC/BNSF units tagged up for that move, that was the very last time I ever saw the WC 3011. Great Capture in a Far Off Location KD Rail Photography!
