Great photo and history lesson, Bruce. It is a shame that the line between Belfast and Burnham Junction didn't work out in the late nineties. I worked for Maine DOT rail division at the time and the state invested quite a bit of hard-earned taxpayer dollars into the eastern end toward Belfast. Then I later learned that there was a fuss between different stakeholders and so that end with all of the improvements was not utilized.
