My first thought is, "Trespassers will be shot." My second thought is, that's a mainline?!

Handsome and powerful looking as the stag is, the rails being covered in green seem almost benign, with their shining silver tops the one sign of heavy use, while the signal is barely visible. But the bridge in the background seems almost sinister, a dark reminder that death to this animal could come down the pike at any moment. I know the elk has his senses and would likely hear a train far away...but I've also seen video of a moose that tried to outrun a Canadian train on the tracks, unsuccessfully. So there's a bit of unease for me amidst this beauty, and that makes this photo even more special.

Excellent shot! Great looking Elk but a rather "questionable" looking excuse for a main line.......
