A Google street view of this very spot shows not much has changed in 60 years other than what appears to be 3 less tracks and quite a bit of vegetation on and above the cut. The signal bridge is there though it's a modern version. Now if only the F's could be transported thru time...

Thanks for posting these great classic photos. I hate to admit that I was 18 in 1955. My favorite photo collection keeps getting larger to images like this. Again thanks for sharing and best regards.
