I like the black myself, and if both their units get painted like this they will make a sharp pair. The changes to the lettering and striping are subtle but result in a classier look, in my opinion. Also interesting to note that this unit had frame-mounted handrails previously, but now appears to have the hood-mounted railings more typical of older switchers.

The frame mounted railing was added by the museum in the 1990's. The frame mounted rails were removed and the hood mounted rails put back in place with this last painting. Sure does look good!
