That would look spiffy pulling the Indiana Transportation Museum's excursion trains in downtown Nobelsville, IN. Or... just imagine parked next to NKP #765! Course, it would mean finishing the restoration in Indiana, lol. Nice catch, Justin! Great job, Doyle!

Beautiful shot. Did all PA-1's have six axles?

Ten years ago I was dubious of the concept of NKP 190, but he's done a fine job turning that shell into a locomotive. I wish I could get down there to see it in person!

Nice looking endangered species. May she live forever.

I saw this locomotive outside its new shop in Portand, OR in 2012, and Doyle and crew did a beautiful job. I'd hoped they would have found some way to replicate the Alco sde grill by now, but it seems that is still in the works, but it will be a star of the event, even without that finishing touch.

In talking with Doyle at the Spencer shops he said that the radiator had a leak and water ran down the side of the engine. Also, the copper wires that connected the traction motors to the generator were stolen and have not yet been replaced.
