2028 and 2010 were donated to the Cooperstown & Charlotte Valley at the same time, and are being restored to operation. They need two good sets of batteries and then will be in business.

The 2029 and 2031 were cannibalized for parts and scrapped (along with a third). The 2007 is stored in Utica as a parts source. None were ever intended for service as New York State, owners of the rail line from Remsen to Lake Placid that the railroad runs on, restrict the use of locomotives with more then four axels. These FL9s had also been on the dead line for many years when they arrived and would have taken some work to operate.
