4014 on the point and 4884 trailing... Clever move, UP. Clever move...

Very interesting shot. But, just out of curiosity, how do two snow plow cars fit into the plan?

Well played indeed! Nicely captured.

Nice photo David, again wish I could get out there to watch history being returned to the rails. To answer Curious142: The two rotary plow boxcars are to be used as buffer and added braking cars, as well as they are carrying tools necessary to make any "emergency repairs" or to fix unforeseen problems that might occur during the ferry move of the "Big Boy" on it's return to Cheyenne.

Great shot, David. It was good talking with you there Tuesday afternoon. Glad that eastbound started to move forward just before the 4014 showed up!

Dana M, thanks for the info. So, those two boxcars are just spare cars, and there's no snow plowing involved. I couldn't help but wonder about that.
