Not sure if this represents the mothership coming in for its long lost vehicle, or the other way around, but I am beginning to like this story.. =)

I was wondering when the 4014 was going to show up for the 4014.

Union Pacific is showing their "Genius" planning and public relations skills once again. 4884 moved "Big Boy" out of Pamona, CA to Colton Yard, now will be joined by 4014 to move him to Cheyenne. I wonder if they will have 844 and/or 6936 meet it at the Wyoming State Line and also escort him to Cheyenne? Don't think they haven't considered getting the DD40X (The world's largest diesel locomotive) in on this move somehow. Union Pacific is notorious for doing things in a "Flashy" way! I wish I could be out there in person to follow the move of "Big Boy" 4014 from CA. It will be at least a week long move if they have to travel at 25mph the entire trip. I look forward to seeing all the photos to be posted here in the weeks to come.

This is a very powerful photo. Great job of relaying the action to the viewer.
