Wow, best looking cab unit ever IMHO and really rare in UP. Wonderful stuff.

Neat shot, the people in the picture ad a wonderful touch to the photograph. Shows a time when railroads where much closer to our everyday lives.

Got to love the old timer and his classic "van"/station wagon. Great photo Roger, thank you for sharing this with us. Anybody else miss the time when young women were referred to as "Bobby socksers"? There are two of them walking with a young lady in a green dress further down the street. Wow, times sure were simpler then! Ahhh, the good ol' days of "Happy Days" reflections!

Was there a better looking Locomotive than Alco PA's and FA's ?

Seems kind of odd to see that trio of people walking down the dirt access road between the tracks. The guy leaning on the railroad truck may be monitoring people as they wander around. I wonder if there was some type of event going on that day? Maybe a stop on an excursion?

Nice stuff! Thanks, Roger.

The FA never gets enough publicity, especially in UP livery. This might be hard to believe, but by some amazing concidence, I was not at this location when this photo was taken. I was 1,100 miles to the east learning how to drive. Now, what are the odds of that happening?

Interesting that there is a blue flag and apparently a UP employee in a van. This doesn't appear to be a terminal. It looks as if the units are in a freight house track. Considering they are Alcos, I'd guess there's someone inside fixing something.
