The UK phone booths may be part of a highly unusual British invasion force. There's one in the tiny town of Lindsborg, Kansas as well.

Wow, that old UK phone box sticks out more than the train does, and yes that buildings frontage does look like it's trying to look like a English Pub, in fact the other two shop fronts have a certain English look to them too, I guess this is part of an "English Quarter"? Those highway stop lights are all American though, along with the railroad track running down the middle of Main Street (or what we call the 'High Street' in the UK), not many instances of that in the UK, if any now... Tell me, in the US, are the highway stop lights interconnected with the railroad, or is the red stop light coincidental?

Probably a nod to the town's namesake...

Johannson's is a restaurant, but there is the "Down Under" bar below it. This is not an English area, just the theme for the restaurant. The railroad crosses the intersection at an angle, it does not run down the center of the road. The traffic lights are connected to the railroad signals - all 4 directions had a red light. If those lights weren't all triggered to turn red, there would be too many accidents.
